Setting the Agenda on Homelessness
As the issue of homelessness was rising to the top of New York’s agenda, Win, one New York’s largest service providers for homeless families turned to High10 to create a strategy to inform the conversation with its unique approach and decades of experience. Working closely with Win President and CEO, Bonnie Stone, we created the first Policy Roundtable in the organization’s history.
High10 drew on WIN’s expansive experience and deep expertise to create a meaningful event with a clear message that would bring leaders together for a single purpose.
We brought NYC Department of Homeless Services Commissioner Gilber Taylor, WABC anchor Bill Ritter, Robin Hood Foundation Executive Director David Saltzman, National Center on Family Homelessness Director Dr. Carmela J. DeCandia, and Citizens’ Committee for Children of NY Executive Director to the Roundtable.
In the course of the Roundtable, DHS Commissioner Gilbert Taylor announced the creation of a new, inter-agency task force, designed to unite the many constituencies committed to the well-being of this vulnerable population.
With follow-up pieces in New York media, the Policy Roundtable highlighted WIN’s role as one of the city’s most influential, and informed, groups battling homelessness today.
