Confidence Code

High10 Media has had the privilege to work with veteran journalists and New York Times Best Selling authors Katty Kay and Claire Shipman on the press campaigns to launch their three most recent books including “The Power Code: More Joy. Less Ego. Maximum Impact for Women (and Everyone)” as well as “The Confidence Code for Girls,” and “Living the Confidence Code.”

High10 Media Challenge

High10 crafted robust press strategies for each book that involved traditional book PR, teamed with social media efforts and a larger live event strategy. Working in concert with the authors, and with teams at Harper Collins and Spark No. 9, we executed extensive launch campaigns that created maximum media exposure around publication dates. One tactic we employed for each title was to secure well-timed interviews with both U.S. and international press, while working to coordinate and leverage the authors’ vast network. Kay and Shipman appeared on television shows and outlets including ABC’s Good Morning America, ABC’s The View Digital, NBC’s TODAY, MSNBC’s Morning Joe, PBS NewsHour, and MSNBC’s Deadline: White House with Nicole Wallace, among others.

Another tactic was to place poignant essays in major news outlets that touched on the topics of each book. High10 placed an essay about why power still seems so elusive to women in Fortune’s The Broadsheet and another one about imperfect girls making perfect role models in The New York Times Well Family section.

What we did

High10 secured and planned live events, including talks at DonorsChoose.org, A+E Networks and Google for “The Confidence Code for Girls.”

During “Living the Confidence Code,” an Instagram campaign challenging girls and women to share their personal #ConfidenceCode with reels documenting “A Day In Your Confident Life” was launched during an appearance on MSNBC’s “Morning Joe.”
